River Valley Arts Center Policies
Cancellation Policy

Cancelling once fee is paid, up to 15 days prior to class/camp beginning, a 50% refund will be issued.

Cancellation within 14 days of class/camp start, no refund will be given.

Should the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center be required to cancel the class/camp, a 100% refund will be given or at your request, the fee will carry forward to the next session/class/camp.

Should circumstances arise whereby you request to postpone the start of your class, if applicable, the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center will carry forward your fee to the next available date, no refunds will be available.
Studio/Class/Camp Guidelines

We offer bulk fees for most classes. The fees are as follows:

6 Oil/Acrylic Classes: $100 for members, $140 for non-members.

6 Watercolor Classes: $100 for members, $140 for non-members.

Art Camps (5 days in 1 week): $100 for members, $140 for non-members. No make-up days are available for the Art Camps. Normal Cancellation policies apply.

Classes may be paid for individually. The fees are as follows:

Beginner Pottery: $25 for members, $30 for non-member.

Intermediate Pottery : $15 for members, $20 for non-member. Intermediate Pottery students are responsible for the purchase of their own clay listed in no. 3.

Oil/Acrylic Classes: $20 for members, $25 for non-members.

Watercolor Classes: $20 for members, $25 for non-members.

Art Camps: $30 per day. No refunds or Make-Up days.

Pop-up Classes: varying prices due to the supplies purchased. No make up days are available due to the nature of the class. Normal cancellation policies apply.

If the need arises, bags of clay may be purchased at the price of $25 per 25 pounds of clay (1 bag).

Students are to clean their pottery wheel, floor area, paintbrushes, paint pallets, and all other tools, at the end of each class session.

Class sessions include 2 hours of instruction for Pottery Classes, 3 hours of instruction for Watercolor classes, 3 hours of instruction for Oil/Acrylic Classes, and various hours for Art Camps.

Missed classes can be made up with or without the instructor present depending on knowledge of equipment/techniques. Should the student require the instructor’s assistance, they may attend the next scheduled session.

If the student cannot attend the Class/Camp, please inform the instructor prior to the Class so proper documentation may be filed.

All communications and payments must be made through the front office, website, or instructor directly. Please do not give money to anyone aside from those listed to prevent falsifying procedures and paperwork.

Independent study time is available at $10/hour at times that class/camp is not in session. Independent study times must be scheduled through the instructor, paid at the front desk, and approved by the Executive Director.

Should a student break, destroy, vandalize, or dismantle any tools or property, they will be held liable for ALL damages and/or replacements. If that student is a minor, the legal guardian of the student will be held liable for all damages and/or replacements.

Guided Private instruction is offered by request and scheduled with an instructor at the rate of $25 per hour. ALL payments for private instruction must be made through the front office. No exceptions. Private instruction schedules will be determined by the teacher and the student.

Prices for ALL classes are subject to change for any reason.
